Winter Wedding | The Manor House Colorado | Kelsey + Michael
//An elegant winter wedding at The Manor House Colorado//
Kelsey + Michael brought all their class and elegance to The Manor House Colorado. First off, This killer venue is located on 6 acres of gorgeous land in Littleton, Colorado that become all yours on your wedding day. To say that there are plenty of great spots to take photos is an understatement. I think I could shoot 1000 weddings here and at every single one we would discover something new.
The bride. Oh boy. I screamed a little inside when I saw that Kelsey threw on a white fur shawl over her vintage style wedding dress from The Bridal Collection (Link at bottom of post). This Bride’s look was more than perfect for a Winter Wedding in Colorado. It was badass. The groom was sleek as can be in his black and white’s. They were a pair for the books.
Go ahead and check out more photos from this Winter Wedding at The Manor House Colorado below:
There is something special that happens in the Bride’s room as she and her closest are getting ready. It’s playful, sweet and sometimes a little wild. These ladies celebrated their girl gang with some fresh Moscow Mules and bonded like no other.
A very dapper groom and his badass mother. I couldn’t stop laughing at the handkerchief he gifted to her for the wedding day. “Keep your shit together” it read…she didn’t. She cried. Of course.
It was our Bride’s incredibly proud and loving Mother who had the honor of walking her daughter down the aisle for both Kelsey and her Father.
It was Compass Rose Floral from Denver, Colorado that created these photo ready winter looks (Link at bottom of post). It was the soft pine that added that lovely elegant touch.
The wedding cake was a killer Red Velvet Bundt Cake from a local bakery, The Bundt Shoppe in Denver, Colorado. Highly recommend. I could’ve devoured the entire cake.
The black reflective floors really stood out to me here at the Manor House. They add that little bit of extra elegance. Here the bride and groom are sharing their first dance.
I do enjoy when the cigars come out in the evening. There is a bit of sophistication that comes along with them. It’s always a great moment for photos.
We took a moment and stepped out into the crisp and cool Colorado air and took a photo outside of the Manor House which is decked out in Christmas lights.

Zombie Bride and Groom Photos | Zombie Love| Destinee + David
Went cruising around the streets of Downtown Santa Ana with a killer Zombie Bride and Groom. We crept around a parking structure, died around the Yost Theatre and ended our evening with a fresh one over at Mission Bar. (Highly recommended if you’re looking for a chill spot with some unique beers)
Check out some of our Zombie bride and groom photos from this Halloween Elopement shoot below..
It is no secret that Destinee Nicholson (https://www.instagram.com/sfxbydest/) is a wizard with special effects makeup. We’ve been dying to create some Halloween Bride and Groom photos. “Zombie Love”!! That’s what Destinee said and that’s what we did! She went all out with her bag of tricks for this Zombie Bride and Groom inspired shoot. She picked up her wedding dress from Goodwill as well as David’s groom suit. For the prosthetic makeup she used Tinsley Transfers, Skin Illustrator alcohol palette colors and Ben Nye blood.
A Zombie’s Love is Forever.
We found an empty parking structure and went up to the top floor. Our bride and groom Destinee and David layed their decaying zombie bodies down for some portraits. We then ventured off to some alley ways and found a big great full wall mural that was full of color.
We then found ourselves in front of the Yost Theatre. A famous and historical theatre in the heart of Downtown Santa Ana. Not showing films anymore but hosting big badass events. You could even rent the place out for a wedding! It was the perfect backdrop for our halloween bride and groom photos. Destinee and David possessed a very rock and roll vibe. Rock n’ Roll Zombies if you will.
Taking photos everywhere we ventured off people would drive by and honk at our bride and groom excited with the halloween spirit. We found ourselves at a cool and tucked away watering hole called Mission Bar. There are a couple pool tables, a juke box and tons of great craft and seasonal beers. Sometimes Zombie’s.
Mission Bar was a killer spot to rest our bones after celebrating Halloween and having a blast creating some badass Bride and Groom photos together.

Indie Joshua Tree Wedding | Valarie + Richie
It was an Indie Joshua Tree Wedding // They escaped together hand in hand and had an intimate desert wedding! Valarie had a badass bridal birdcage veil and Richie to say the least was a very dapper groom. These two had vintage romantic class out the yin yang and lovingly made their own DIY decor that brought eclectic touches to this Indie Joshua Tree Wedding. Check out photos of it all below.
It was only fitting for them to have their wedding in Joshua Tree. They were budget smart and had rented a couple of Airbnb’s. (Quickly find an Airbnb for your wedding here) They had one unique blue house where Valarie and a few of her closest got ready and another made of wood with a wrap around deck where they had their reception.
They had an open desert ceremony surrounded by Joshua Tree’s while having live music to greet their guests. It was an intimate wedding where you could feel that heavy authentic love. Family and friends came together to celebrate something truly special and unique.
See photos from this Indie Joshua Tree Wedding below including some unique DIY center pieces Fun fact: These crazy kids have been coming to the desert together for years. Heck, I remember when Richie first reached out to me. He had this whole plan to surprise Val and to purpose to her at their favorite spot in Joshua Tree (I got to photograph and get misty eyed over the whole thing) Something I am very attracted to are abandoned properties. Joshua Tree and it’s surrounding areas never cease to deliver. It was clear to say that we were going to bounce around and take some romantic and unique bride and groom photos. Valarie had the classiest little Succulent Bouquet to go with her birdcage veil. Perfectly fitting for their vintage style Joshua Tree Desert Wedding. The focus of the day truly was surrounded by love for Valarie + Richie and the commitment they were making for one another. Friends and family helped set up their DIY table center pieces made up of succulents in tin cans, vases and balanced native rocks. T’was super duper cool. They also had string lights and the Airbnb reception came with a vintage bus as well as a vintage Silver Streak Trailer. I got a photo of Valarie in her birdcage veil in front of those bad boys and man was it fitting. Something else we got to do at this badass Joshua Tree wedding was sneak out and take some creative bride and groom night shots! Heck yes! Richie is also a photographer (check him out here) so naturally his creative wheels got to spinning for his own wedding. He and some friends brought lights to illuminate those wicked cool Joshua Tree’s all sorts of colors that popped against that dark desert night. We had a blast. Definitely included some of those bride and groom portrait photos below.
