A Joshua Tree Wedding | Valarie + Richie
It was a Joshua Tree Wedding // They escaped together hand in hand and had an intimate desert wedding! Valarie had a badass bridal birdcage veil and Richie to say the least was a very dapper groom. These two had vintage romantic class out the yin yang and lovingly made their own DIY decor that brought eclectic touches to this Joshua Tree Wedding. Check out photos of it all below.
It was only fitting for them to have their wedding in Joshua Tree. They were budget smart and had rented a couple of Airbnb’s. (Quickly find an Airbnb for your wedding here) They had one unique blue house where Valarie and a few of her closest got ready and another made of wood with a wrap around deck where they had their reception.
They had an open desert ceremony surrounded by Joshua Tree’s while having live music to greet their guests. It was an intimate wedding where you could feel that heavy authentic love. Family and friends came together to celebrate something truly special and unique.
See photos from this Joshua Tree Wedding below including some unique DIY center pieces Fun fact: These crazy kids have been coming to the desert together for years. Heck, I remember when Richie first reached out to me. He had this whole plan to surprise Val and to purpose to her at their favorite spot in Joshua Tree (I got to photograph and get misty eyed over the whole thing) Something I am very attracted to are abandoned properties. Joshua Tree and it’s surrounding areas never cease to deliver. It was clear to say that we were going to bounce around and take some romantic and unique bride and groom photos. Valarie had the classiest little Succulent Bouquet to go with her birdcage veil. Perfectly fitting for their vintage style Joshua Tree Desert Wedding. The focus of the day truly was surrounded by love for Valarie + Richie and the commitment they were making for one another. Friends and family helped set up their DIY table center pieces made up of succulents in tin cans, vases and balanced native rocks. T’was super duper cool. They also had string lights and the Airbnb reception came with a vintage bus as well as a vintage Silver Streak Trailer. I got a photo of Valarie in her birdcage veil in front of those bad boys and man was it fitting. Something else we got to do at this badass Joshua Tree wedding was sneak out and take some creative bride and groom night shots! Heck yes! Richie is also a photographer (check him out here) so naturally his creative wheels got to spinning for his own wedding. He and some friends brought lights to illuminate those wicked cool Joshua Tree’s all sorts of colors that popped against that dark desert night. We had a blast. Definitely included some of those bride and groom portrait photos below.
